Join the heart2heartnc community as we gather for Worldwide Candle Lighting Day—a global remembrance event honoring children who have passed too soon.

Organized by The Compassionate Friends, this heartfelt evening is part of the world’s largest mass candle lighting. Each year, on the second Sunday in December, a wave of light encircles the globe as families and friends come together at 7:00 p.m. local time to commemorate and honor the memories of sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren who have left us too soon.

 

As part of this special heart2heartnc Grief in Motion event, we will honor and speak the names of our loved ones who have passed. The evening will include:

• Guided movement and breathwork inspired by the Kundalini yoga tradition

• Moments of stillness and reflection

• The ceremonial lighting of candles

• Live music and healing sound

 

The Worldwide Candle Lighting began in 1997 as a small online observance and has grown since into a powerful international tradition, with both formal ceremonies and informal gatherings held in homes and gatherings around world. Let’s come together in community, remembrance, and love.
