Cacao Ceremony

Saturday, November 23, 2024

Saturday, February 8, 2025

1:30–3:30 p.m.

Yoga Garden, Pittsboro

Cacao, hailed as the Food of the Gods, is raw unprocessed form of cocoa that has been used for centuries in ceremony and ritual by many cultures and can lead to a heightened sense of well-being and relaxation. This cacao ceremony serves as a grounding, heart-opening experience, helping to foster a deeper connection with yourself and the world. It also facilitates the internal processing and release of grief that may reside within.

Guided by experienced facilitator Brooksie Edwards, this ceremony is a profound exploration of processing and integrating grief and love in its myriad forms. Brooksie, along with musicians Lolly Dunlap and Amy Durso, will weave a tapestry of music and chanting throughout the ceremony. We invite sharing, breathwork, movement, meditation, and offer a serene period for relaxation and renewal.
